iMessage not working on mac: When sending messages from your iPhone, some will appear in blue and others will be white. The blue messages use iMessage, the exclusive messaging service offered by Apple, while the greens are the regular SMS / MMS texts. When you deactivate iMessage, all your messages are submitted as normal messages and shown in green.
iMessage Not Working? Make Sure You Actually Have a Problem:
It can’t hurt to analyse the issue, until you presume the worst. Are you positive that iMessage doesn’t operate with anyone, or only doesn’t operate with one contact?
When you’re having problems delivering messages to a specific person via iMessage, the issue may be at their hand. On the other side, if iMessage doesn’t work with all of your friends, and you think they’re using iMessage, the issue with your system is possibly.
Send a Test Message (or Two):
Start sending a link to a relative or family member you know is using iMessage, if you haven’t already. If iMessage doesn’t work for them, consider messaging someone else you meet who uses iMessage. This will help you find out if your system is having the issue.
You do not have several connections in which to test if any of your friends are using Android. In this scenario, if you are using iMessage on different computers, consider sending messages with each. So you will see how something fits on your Computer but not on your iPhone, for example.

Make Sure iMessage Is Configured Correctly:
Even if you’ve allowed iMessage, you could not have it activated for a certain number. That is simple to check. Open Preferences on an iPhone or iPad, then drop down to Messages. It sounds simple but make sure you allow the iMessage slider here. Instead, click Send & Receive, and release.
You can notice here the phone numbers and email addresses that you may connect with iMessage. Enable all the numbers and email addresses you want to use.
Enable the Messaging program into a Laptop. Select Priorities, then go to the iMessage tab in the Messages panel in the upper-left corner of the computer. Make sure you have allowed whatever number or email address you want to use with iMessage here.
If you have problems with different apps, replicate those steps on every computer that you have problems with.
Try a Reboot:
On the Pc, you usually wind up rebooting at least once a week, although on an iPhone or iPad, that is less normal. It alone will improve however you’ll want to take another step to fix iMessage problems. You’re going to want to shut off iMessage, reset and then shut it on again.
Open Settings on an iPhone or iPad, then drop down to Messages. At the very top of the device is the iMessage click. Switch it off, restart your computer and turn it back on using the same procedure.
On a Mac, launch the Messages app and select Preferences in the app menu at the top-left of the screen. Go to the iMessage tab, and under your Apple ID, uncheck Enable this account. Reboot, then turn it back on.
