Take the Entire Screenshot on Your Mac
- Make sure that all relevant windows are visible.
- Press Shift-Command-3
- By default, the screenshot is a saved .png file on your desktop.

- The pointer changes to a crosshair.
- Move the crosshair from where you want to start the screenshot.
- Now drag it to select an area.
- Hold the Shift key while dragging and Option or Spacebar to change the selection moves.

- Press the ESC key before you release the button.
- You will get the screenshot is as a .png file on your desktop.
